The Sea Dogs impressive pre-season continues with an 8-4 win over the Lewiston MAINEiacs at Harbour Station. Saint John has know outscored its opponents 27-14 in five games versus Acadie-Bathurst, Cape Breton, and Lewiston. Stephen McAulay had two goals along with a pair from Olivier Oullet. Zach Phillips ended the scoring in the first.

Phillips, an unpopular figure among Lewy's Legion members after not reporting to Lewiston camp last season, has been very impressive in the pre-season.

Yann Sauve and Andrew Langanalso had Sea Dog goals.

Tomas Jurco, the Sea Dogs fourth overall CHL import pick in the 2009, had his fourth goal and an assist.

Marc-Antoine Gelinas allowed 4 goals and played a full sixty minutes. Karel St-Laurent will likely start tomorrow.

Notes: Danick Gauthier's penalty shot at 00:52 in the third period was stopped by Jordan Kennedy... this will be the final time Saint John plays on home ice until there home opener versus Cape Breton on September. 19... the win guaranteed that Saint John will have a record above .500 in the pre-season... Mathieu Gingras, a former Saint John Sea Dog who was traded in August, had one assist.
