GALIEV RANKED AT #19

Stanislav Galiev is ranked the 19th top draft eligible skater for the 2010 NHL entry draft by the International Scouting Service.

"He's probably not getting as many points as he thinks he should get, but his overall effort is good,'' said Saint John's Blair Nicholson in today's Telegraph-Journal, a regional scout for NHL's Central Scouting. "He's probably finishing his checks as well as anyone. A lot of guys at that age don't finish their checks for some reason, but he does.''

"I look at him as an 'A' player,'' Nicholson said, noting a strong skill set that includes premier skating and puck skills. "He sometimes tries to do too much with the puck, but he's just going to improve.''

Galiev joins the Moncton Wildcats duo of Brandon Gormely and Kirill Kabanov as QMJHL Representatives. Also on the list is Rimouski's Petr Straka.

The Russian import would become the highest Sea Dog ever drafted into the NHL if he goes higher than 30th.
