SAINT JOHN STILL ON TOP

For the third straight week, the Saint John Sea Dogs are the number one ranked team in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings. The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top Ten teams are selected by a panel of NHL scouts.

The Sea Dogs defeated the Val-d’Or Foreurs rather easily this weekend in their only two games of the week. Saint John won 6-3 on Friday and destroyed the Foreurs 11-0 the next night at Harbour Station.

This week, the Sea Dogs face a stiff test in playing the last place Halifax Mooseheads on Friday and the number six ranked Moncton Wildcats on Saturday. The Dogs’ affair with the Wildcats has been named the QMJHL game of the week by Rogers Sportsnet.
