SN Live Blog Replay. A bunch of players got hurt in this one.

SITTING OUT: Forwards Stanislav Galiev and Devon Oliver-Dares along with defensemen Tyrone Sock and Nathan Beaulieu were all scratched for Saint John. According to News 88.9, Beaulieu missed the contest with a lower body injury but could have played in an emergency situation.

DEBUT: Defenseman Denis Creighton made his Sea Dogs debut, wearing No. 16. It was announced Saint John had signed the free agent earlier in the day. Creighton picked up his first QMJHL point when he assisted on Grant West’s second period goal.

Other players who have worn No. 16 in the past for Saint John: Jonathan Laberge, Steven Anthony and Colin Campbell.

POINTS: Tomas Jurco, Scott Oke, Ryan Tesink, and Charkes-Olivier Roussel were the only Sea Dogs to not get points in the win.

HURT: Ryan Tesink was hurt in the first period after he was hit from behind by Tomas Filippi in the first period. He fell awkwardly into the boards and sat on the ice for a few minutes before heading to the dressing room. He did not return.

Also in the first period, Baie-Comeau’s Raphael Bussieres and Alexandre Chenevert were both injured in separate incidents.

MacDONALD’S FIRST: Spencer MacDonald scored his first career QMJHL goal in the first period, blasting a point shot past Antonio Mastropietro. Friday’s game was the 25th game of MacDonald’s Q career.

HOT START: Jonathan Huberdeau was expected to dominant this season – and he has delivered. With a goal and two assists on Friday, the Florida Panthers prospect now has 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in just 12 games.

GAUTHIER: It’s getting harder and harder to put Danick Gauthier’s season into words. On Friday night, the 20-year old recorded his 19th goal in his 19th game of the year, once again putting him in a tie for the league lead in goals scored. He is tied with the Titan’s Zach O.Brien who has played in two more games than Gauthier.

HOME SWEET HOME: This was the Drakkar’s first home loss of the season. They fell to 9-1-0-0 at the Henry Leonard Centre.

ROAD WOES: Saint John got their road record over .500 with the win, improving to 6-5-0-0 away from Harbour Station on the year.

HISTORY: This was the 1000th game in Baie-Comeau Drakkar history. They are celebrating their 15th anniversary this season.

RECORD TIED: With his fourth shutout of the season, Mathieu Corbeil has tied the Sea Dogs record for shutouts in one season, reports News 88.9.

MacAULAY TWEET: Stephen MacAulay tweeted this after the game.

All the best to the MacAulay family.
