On Sunday, former Sea Dogs enforcer Brett Gallant was involved in quite a fight against Joel Rechlicz in American Hockey League action. Gallant’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers fell 3-2 to the Hershey Bears.
Solid fight. Gallant has a goal, an assist, a -2 rating and 59 penalty minutes in 14 games with the New York Islanders’ AHL affiliate this season.
The interesting part is that, according to HockeyFights.com, the two fought each other in 2006 when Gallant was with Saint John and Rechlicz was with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
