FIGHTS: There were two fights in this one and they came just three seconds apart in the second period. The first saw Grant West drop Samuel Noreau with just a couple of punches. After the next faceoff, Ian Saab sent Gabriel Verpaelst to the ice with a big blow to the head. Saab waved his hands in the air after the tilt, asking for more noise. He received an unsportsmanlike misconduct for his actions. It was still awesome.

SECOND: The Sea Dogs exploded in the second period again just as they have all year long. They scored five goals in the middle frame on Saturday and have now outscored opponents 26-7 in middle stanzas.

GOALS: Saint John has been scoring goals at an incredible pace this post-season. They now have 53 in six games for an average of 8.83 per game. Saturday’s game was the second time they have hit double-digits and the fifth time they have scored eight goals or more.

POWER PLAY: The Sea Dogs went 5-for-7 on the power play. They also had several chances while shorthanded. Saint John is 8-for-14 in the series so far.

NOTES: Saint John outhit Baie-Comeau 24-17… Tomas Jurco had a Sea Dogs high four goals… Jonathan Huberdeau had his first goal of the series in the second period… Sam Carrier had two assists for the Drakkar… David Rose had five shots… there were six unsportsmanlike conduct penalties/misconducts handed out in this game… Philippe Cadorette was pulled again. He allowed six goals on 18 shots... Saint John and Quebec are the only teams that have not suffered losses in the playoffs... Sea Dogs fans mocked Drakkar fans by performing the rowing motion throughout the game. Good stuff.
