Tesink Gets Two Games For Cross-Check

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is proving once again that it can be just as inconsistent with its suspensions as the National Hockey League.

According to the QMJHL website, Saint John Sea Dogs forward Ryan Tesink has been suspended two games for an ugly cross-checking incident in the final minutes of Saturday’s 6-2 loss in Baie-Comeau.

How a completely unnecessary cross-check to the head gets only two games is beyond me.

The Sea Dogs are fortunate that they will be without the St. Louis Blues prospect for just two games. Tesink is second on the team in scoring with five goals and eight assists for 13 points in 13 games this season.

Saint John hosts the PEI Rocket on Friday and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Sunday. 

The Sea Dogs don't face the Drakkar again until November 25.
