This probably won’t be Tomas Jurco’s most viral video but
it is still quite impressive. The Grand Rapids Griffins forward only needed
nine seconds to score two goals in the third period of a 6-5 overtime win over
the Lake Erie Monsters last Friday.
Jurco’s first goal tied the game while his second gave
Grand Rapids the lead. He was named the game’s second star.
It was the first multi-goal American Hockey League game
for the former Saint John Sea Dog. He now has three goals and two assists in 14
games this season.
The Griffins, who sit first in the Midwest Division with
a record of 8-4-1-1, are back in action on Friday against the Chicago Wolves.
