PREVIEW
SAINT JOHN – A very tough weekend set of games begins tonight for the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The Sea Dogs host two of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s best teams over the next two days. They battle the Quebec Remparts tonight at 7pm and the Halifax Mooseheads tomorrow afternoon at 4pm.

Saint John currently sits fourth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 13th overall in the league with a 14-14-0-0 record for 28 points. The Dogs are 5-5-0-0 in their last 10 games and have lost two straight games.

Jonathan Huberdeau, who could be playing his final two games as a member of the Sea Dogs, still leads Saint John in scoring with 43 points in 28 games. Ryan Tesink has a team best 16 goals.

The Remparts finish a three-game Maritime road trip this evening. It began on Wednesday with a 4-2 loss to the PEI Rocket. They rebounded last night in Bathurst with a 4-1 victory over the Titan. They’ll try and make it a winning road trip tonight.

Quebec sits first in the tough Telus East Division and third overall in the QMJHL with a 21-8-0-1 record. The Remparts are 6-3-0-1 in their last 10 games. The Remparts are in quite a battle within their division with the Rimouski Oceanic just three points back and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar just four points.

Patrick Roy’s squad hasn’t been great on the road this season. They are just 8-5-0-1 away from Colisee Pepsi.

Buffalo Sabres prospect Mikhail Grigorenko leads the Remparts in scoring with 48 points. His 27 goals are a team high. Adam Erne and Ryan Culkin each have a team best 22 assists.

Tonight is also Teddy Bear Toss night at Harbour Station. So, bring a teddy bear.
