Palais des Sports LĂ©opold-Drolet – Sherbrooke, Que.
PREVIEW
SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to pick up their first win of this three-in-three Quebec road swing today in Sherbrooke. They take on the Phoenix today at 5pm.

Saint John’s road trip hasn’t gone so well so far. They lost 9-1 in Rimouski on Friday and fell 6-4 yesterday in Victoriaville. One positive at least is that the Dogs played much better yesterday then they did on Friday.

The Sea Dogs have lost three straight and are just 3-7-0-0 in their last 10 games. They have a record of 18-23-0-0 and sit fifth in the Telus Maritimes Division and 15th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Jakub Izacky, who had two goals and two assists against the Tigres yesterday, is Saint John’s leading scorer with 19 points in 36 games.

Alex Fournier started in net yesterday so Sebastien Auger should be back between the pipes for the Sea Dogs today. Auger has collected all 18 of Saint John’s wins this season.

After a terrible start to the season, Sherbrooke has gradually improved as the season has gone on. If the playoffs started today, they would be in them. They sit 16th overall in the league with an 11-25-2-4 record and are three points up with a game in hand on the 17th-place Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

The Phoenix have lost two straight and are 3-5-0-2 in their last 10. They are 6-9-2-4 at home this season.

Michael McNamee leads the Phoenix in scoring with 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points in 40 games.
