Robert Guertin Arena – Gatineau, Que.
PREVIEW
GATINEAU, Que. – It’s been a rough road trip for the Saint John Sea Dogs so far.

The Sea Dogs lost 4-2 in Victoriaville on Thursday night and 6-3 in Sherbrooke last night. They play their final game of this three-in-three Quebec road trip this evening at 8pm in Gatineau against the Olympiques.

Saint John has lost five straight and sit 17th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a 6-16-0-2 record. They are also just 2-10-0-1 on the road this year and have lost eight straight away games.

If there is any good news for the Sea Dogs it’s that their offense hasn’t been as bad of late compared to a few weeks ago. Since being shutout on November 5th, the Dogs have scored 13 goals in four games. Unfortunately they have given up 25 over that same span.

The Dogs will face their toughest match of this road trip tonight. Gatineau, winners of three straight, enters play with a 17-8-0-0 record which is good for second in the Telus West Division and fourth overall in the league.

The Olympiques are led by Emile Poirier who has 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points in 22 games. Gatineau also has an intriguing goaltending duo of Robert Steeves and Anthony Brodeur, the son of Martin Brodeur.
