Former Sea Dogs defenseman Steven Duda is apparently done
with hockey.
According to the North Bay Battalion’s website, Duda has “informed
the team that he is quitting hockey.”
“He decided to pursue other options than hockey,” said
Stan Butler, the Ontario Hockey League club’s director of hockey operations and
head coach, in a release. “He’s going to go home and sort out his school
options.”
“Steven did everything we asked of him as a player,” added
Butler. “Sometimes a player just gets to the point where he decides his heart
isn’t in it.”
The 19-year old American defenseman was picked up by the Battalion in September. He had one goal and three assists in 23 OHL games.
Last season in Saint John – where he signed with the club
as a free agent – he had six assists in 52 games.
Fun well it lasted good he got that far was one of my favs hear in saint john good for him thinking about more then just hockey
