Three More Leave Camp

Three more players have departed from Saint John Sea Dogs training camp.

The team announced this afternoon that forward Isaac Ceh, defenseman Charles Corriveau, and goaltender Nick Vilardo have all left. Ceh and Vilardo left to maintain NCAA eligibility while Corriveau will play Jr. A hockey this season.

Ceh, an 18-year old from Chicago, recorded five goals and five assists in 17 games with the Chicago Mission Under-18 team last year. He added another 14 goals and eight assists in 18 contests with the Belle Tire Under-18 squad.

Vilardo, 17, is a native of Buffalo. The goaltender suited up for 11 games during the 2013-14 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. He was also part of the Team USA squad that won the gold medal at the Five Nations Cup tournament in Slovakia.

Corriveau, 18, was a 12^th-round pick of the Sea Dogs in the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft. The defenseman registered four goals and 11 assists in 42 games with the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League’s Amos Forestiers last year. He added a goal and two assists in five playoff games. The Sea Dogs say he will play with the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canada Hockey League this season.

Vilardo and Corriveau will remain on Saint John’s protected list.

Saint John’s training camp roster is now down to 40 players consisting of five goaltenders, 10 defensemen and 25 forwards.

The Sea Dogs begin the QMJHL pre-season tonight at Harbour Station with a contest against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
