GAMEDAY 10: vs Mooseheads

A preview of tonight’s game between the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs…

Records: The Mooseheads sit fifth in the Maritimes Division and 16th overall with a 3-4-1-1 record for eight points. The Sea Dogs are second in the Maritimes and seventh overall with a 5-2-0-2 record for 12 points.

Last games: The Mooseheads are coming off a 3-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders last night in Halifax. Timo Meier, Danny Moynihan and Vincent Watt scored for Halifax while Zach Fucale made 24 saves. The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 loss in Cape Breton last Saturday. Samuel Dove-McFalls and Spencer Smallman had Saint John goals while Blade Mann-Dixon made 23 stops in his first career QMJHL start.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 2-0-0-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 0-1-1-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Sept. 27 at Harbour Station when the Sea Dogs defeated the Mooseheads 7-0. Thomas Chabot and Justice Dundas each scored twice while singles came from Juraj Siska, Mitchell Dempsey, and Jakub Zboril. Sebastien Auger made 30 saves for his first shutout of the season.

Random stat: Nikolaj Ehlers had eight goals and eight assists in eight games against Saint John last season.
