In Craig Button’s latest list, the Sea
Dogs defenceman was ranked 24th, an impressive ranking for someone who wasn't on the radar of most publications when the season began.
Chabot showed signs of promise in the
second half of last season and has carried that over into this year’s campaign.
In 29 games, the 17-year old has six goals and 15 assists which is good for 13th
in QMJHL defensemen scoring.
Chabot headlined an impressive showing
by the Sea Dogs in the latest “Craig’s List.” There were seven Saint John
players – two defensemen and five forwards – listed overall, the most of any
CHL team.
Jakub Zboril was ranked 25th,
Adam Marsh 58th, Nathan Noel 66th, Spencer Smallman 81st,
Samuel Dove-McFalls 90th and Mathieu Joseph 93rd.
