Game Day 17: at Cape Breton

The Saint John Sea Dogs (10-5-1-0, 1st Maritimes, 3rd QMJHL) are in Sydney tonight to face the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles (8-8-0-0, 3rd Maritimes, 10th QMJHL). Game time is 7 p.m.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Wildcats in Moncton on Sunday. Nathan Noel and Spencer Smallman scored Saint John's goals while Alex Bishop made 15 saves in the loss. The Screaming Eagles are coming off a 5-1 win in Halifax on Saturday. Peyton Hoyt, Jordan Ty Fournier, Olivier LeBlanc, Giovanni Fiore and Massimo Carozza scored for the Screaming Eagles while Kyle Jessiman made 25 stops in the win.

2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-0-0-0 against the Screaming Eagles this season while Cape Breton is 0-1-0-0.

Last meeting: Sept. 30 at Harbour Station where the Sea Dogs edged the Screaming Eagles 3-2. Mathieu Joseph scored twice for Saint John and Spencer Smallman added a solo marker.
