Game Day 19: vs Islanders

The Saint John Sea Dogs (11-6-1-0, 1st Maritimes, 3rd QMJHL) return home to take on the Charlottetown Islanders (10-7-1-0, 2nd Maritimes, 6th QMJHL) today at 3 p.m.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-5 loss in Bathurst on Friday. Chase Stewart, Thomas Chabot, Matt Green, Bokondji Imama and Mathieu Joseph scored for Saint John while Alex Bishop allowed six goals on 29 shots. The Islanders are coming off a 5-1 home loss to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Sunday. Kameron Kielly scored Charlottetown's lone goal. Matthew Welsh was pulled after allowing four goals on 17 shots. Blade Mann-Dixon allowed one goal on four shots in relief.

2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-1-0-0 against the Islanders this season while Charlottetown is 1-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 26 at Harbour Station where the Sea Dogs defeated the Islanders 5-2. Spencer Smallman had a hat trick while singles came from Bokondji Imama and Nathan Noel. Filip Chlapik and Pascal Aquin scored for Charlottetown. Alex Bishop made 15 saves in the win. Matthew Welsh made 29 in the loss.
