GAME DAY 26: at Rimouski

The Saint John Sea Dogs (16-6-2-1, 1st Maritimes, 2nd QMJHL) are in Rimouski tonight to take on the Oceanic (12-13-1-0, 5th East, 13th QMJHL) for the first time this season. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 4-2 home win over the Quebec Remparts on Friday. Nathan Noel had a hat trick while Mathieu Joseph added a solo marker. Alex D'Orio made 24 saves in the victory. The Oceanic are coming off a 3-1 home loss to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Sunday. Hunter Moreau had Rimouski's lone goal. Alexandre Lagace made 21 saves in the loss.

2016-17 head-to-head: This is the first meeting of the season between the two.

2015-16 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 2-0-0-0 against the Oceanic last season while Rimouski went 0-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Jan. 29 in Rimouski where the Sea Dogs defeated the Oceanic 5-3. Spencer Smallman had a pair of goals for Saint John while singles came from Daniel Del Paggio, Matt Murphy and Mathieu Joseph. Oceanic goals came from Samuel Laberge, Antoine Dufort-Plante and Deven St-Hilaire. Marc-Antoine Turcotte made 20 saves in the victory. Louis-Philip Guindon made 28 stops in the loss.

Random stat: Nathan Noel, the league's second star of the week, has six goals and an assist in his past two games. Interestingly, of Noel's 23 points, only six have been recorded on the road.
