Julien Tessier (his QMJHL rights, at least) is back in the Maritimes.
The Chicoutimi Sagueneens traded Tessier to the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday as part of a package that saw the the Sags acquire Kelly and Kevin Klima.
Tessier, a 2014 first round pick of Saint John, was traded to the Sags last season after missing much of the year with a health/injury issue. He appeared in nine regular season and four playoff games with Chicoutimi in 2015-16, registering one assist.
Tessier has appeared in just four QMJHL games this year - his last being on Oct. 2. He has played in 26 games with the junior A Terrebonne Cobras, recording nine goals and 28 assists.
Wildcats blowing up
The last place Wildcats are going into full rebuild mode. They traded Cameron Askew and Alex Lavoie to Shawinigan; Zachary Malatesta and Adam Holwell to Bathurst; and the Klima twins to Chicoutimi.

The Charlottetown Islanders will be getting one of the most impactful players in the QMJHL free of charge.

According to the Islanders, "Sprong is expected to return to Charlottetown after Christmas and practice with the team. His season debut will be announced when made official."
