Alumdate: Former Dogs in the QMJHL

Luke Green is off to a good start with the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

Green, traded by Saint John to Sherbrooke during the holiday trade period, has 11 assists in his first nine games with the Phoenix. The 19-year-old defenceman had two goals and 15 points in 27 games with Saint John in the first half.

With the Sea Dogs being so active during the holiday trading period, there are even more alumni playing throughout the QMJHL (and OHL).

Although not traded this year, the play of former Dog Dawson Theede is quite notable. The 19-year-old forward had three goals and four assists in 49 games with Saint John and Bathurst in 2015-16. This year he has found his scoring touch, posting 20 goals and 16 assists in 41 games with the Titan.
