Game Day 10: vs Wildcats

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to end a two-game losing streak against one of the league's hottest teams tonight.

The Sea Dogs take on the Moncton Wildcats - who sit second overall in the league standings - this evening at 7 p.m. at Harbour Station. It's Pink in the Rink night, meaning the Dogs will be wearing pink jerseys that will be raffled off in-house in support of breast cancer research.

This is the second meeting of the season between the two New Brunswick rivals.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 3-5-1-0 (7 points, 5th Maritimes, 15th QMJHL) while the Wildcats are 6-1-2-0 (14 points, 1st Maritimes, 2nd QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 2-1 loss in Bathurst on Thursday night. Kevin Gursoy scored for Saint John while Alex D'Orio made 37 stops in the loss. The Wildcats are coming off a 3-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads on Wednesday at the Moncton Coliseum. Jaxon Bellamy, Jeremy McKenna and Mika Cyr scored for Moncton. Mark Grametbauer made 40 stops in the win.

2017-18 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 0-1-0-0 against the Wildcats this season while Moncton is 1-0-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Sept. 29 at the Moncton Coliseum where the Wildcats defeated the Sea Dogs 6-4. Mika Cyr scored twice for Moncton while singles came from Simon Le Coultre, Jakob Pelletier, Jonathan Aspirot and Jeremy McKenna. Alexis Girard, Anthony Boucher, Daniel Hardie and Cedric Pare scored for Saint John. Mark Grametbauer made 30 saves in the win. Cody Porter made 29 stops in the loss.
