RECAP: Sea Dogs win 4-3 (OT)

FINAL: Saint John 4, Moncton 3 (OT)
MONCTON - Robbie Burt scored at 3:04 of overtime to give the Saint John Sea Dogs a 4-3 win over the Moncton Wildcats on Friday night.

Burt's goal was his second of the night - and his second beautiful goal of the night. William Poirier and Cedric Pare also scored for Saint John. Daniel Hardie, Alexis Girard and Brendan O'Reilly each added a pair of assists. Alex D'Orio made 25 saves in the victory.

The Sea Dogs erased a 2-0 first period deficit and a 3-2 second period disadvantage en route to the victory. It was a hard fought and well earned win by Saint John.

The Wildcats had goals from Dylan Seitz, Julien Tessier and Mika Cyr. Mark Grametbauer made 21 saves in the loss.

The Wildcats were in control in the first period. Seitz opened the scoring just 2:48 in and then Cyr scored at 7:02 to put Moncton up 2-0.

The tides turned in the second period. Poirier got Saint John on the board at 7:19. Then, just under five minutes later, Burt came down the wing, cut through the Moncton defence, settled a bouncing puck and then beat Grametbauer to even things at 2-2.

Moncton bounced back, though. Just over a minute after Burt's goal, Tessier put the Wildcats back in front with a power play marker. But, at 16:24, the Sea Dogs evened the game with a man advantage marker of their own when Pare one timed a shot from the bottom of the circle past Grametbauer.

After a scoreless third period, Burt made some more nice moves in overtime. At 3:04, Burt once again danced around the Moncton defence and beat Grametbauer with a wrist shot, giving Saint John a 4-3 win.
