Game Day 7: at Bathurst

BATHURST – The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to build off last night’s overtime loss this evening in Bathurst.

The Sea Dogs lost 2-1 in overtime to the Gatineau Olympiques last night at Harbour Station. Despite being outshot quite badly, the game was even at times, which should help build some confidence moving forward.

Game time tonight is 7 p.m. at the KC Irving Regional Centre.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 1-3-2-0 for four points (sixth Maritimes, 16th QMJHL) while the Titan are 2-3-0-0 for four points (fourth Maritimes, 14th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Gatineau Olympiques last night. Charlie DesRoches scored Saint John’s lone goal. Alex D’Orio made 27 stops in the loss. The Titan are coming off a 4-1 home loss to the Olympiques on Wednesday night. Kristian Kovacik scored Bathurst’s lone goal. Mark Grametbauer allowed four goals on 20 shots in 40 minutes of action. Tyriq Outen made nine stops in the third.

2018-19 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 0-1-0-0 against the Titan this season while Bathurst is 1-0-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Last Saturday at Harbour Station where the Titan hammered the Sea Dogs 10-1. Bathurst's Cole Rafuse netted four in the first period; Felix-Antoine Drolet had two goals; and singles came from Domenic Malatesta, Michal Ivan, Marc-Andre LeCouffe and Noah Dobson. Mark Grametbauer made 21 shots in the win. Brady Burns scored for Saint John. Tommy DaSilva allowed six goals on 16 shots in the first period. Alex D'Orio allowed four goals on 25 shots the rest of the way.
