SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have reportedly acquired 20-year-old defenseman Vincent Sevigny from the Victoriaville Tigres.
According to Zakary Mercier of the Victoriaville newspaper La Nouvelle Union, the Sea Dogs acquired Sevigny by dealing three draft picks to the Tigres. The deal has not been officially announced by the QMJHL yet.
Sevigny has seven goals and 21 assists in 25 games with the Tigres this season. He comes to Saint John on an eight-game point streak.

Sevigny has seven goals and 21 assists in 25 games with the Tigres this season. He comes to Saint John on an eight-game point streak.
A Quebec City native, Sevigny helped the Tigres win the President Cup last season. He registered five goals and 19 points in 26 regular season games and added another four goals and 10 points in 19 playoff contests.
Sevigny was a second-round pick of Victoriaville in the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft held in Saint John.
The Sea Dogs will obviously need to make another roster move with Sevigny being an overager. The Tigres have already found a replacement, acquiring 20-year-old d-man Samuel Desgroseilliers from the Moncton Wildcats in a separate deal.
