Burns, Georgie speak about suspension

ST. STEPHEN, NB - Brady Burns discussed his five-game suspension during the first intermission of Saturday's Saint John Sea Dogs game on 93 CFBC.

Burns was suspended five games on Friday for violating the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's anti-discrimination policy. In the interview, Burns told broadcaster John Moore that he didn't believe what he said broke any of the league's rules but is accepting of the suspension.

Below is the part of the interview where the suspension is discussed.

Burns noted that he was unaware he was given a game misconduct at the end of Friday's game until he was set to head home from the rink.

Burns, Saint John's leading scorer, served the first game of his suspension Saturday. He is eligible to return on Jan. 6 when the Sea Dogs host the Halifax Mooseheads.
