SHERBROOKE, QC - The Saint John Sea Dogs got roughed up on the road on Friday night.

Tyler Peddle scored Saint John's lone goal in a 6-1 loss to the Sherbrooke Phoenix at Palais des Sports Léopold-Drolet. The game kicked off a three-in-three Quebec road trip for the Sea Dogs.

The Sea Dogs got off to a bad start and could never fully recover. Sherbrooke scored three times in the first period and outshot Saint John 10-4 in the opening frame to carry a commanding 3-0 lead into the intermission. Sherbrooke also had three power plays in the first, scoring on one.

Peddle got Saint John on the board with a power play goal at 6:29 of the second, ripping home his team-leading seventh of the season. But any momentum from the goal went away when the Phoenix scored at 15:38 to restore their three-goal lead.

Charles-Antoine Beauregard scored a hat trick for Sherbrooke. Florent Houle, Etienne Giroux and Hugo Primeau all added singles while Linards Feldbergs made 23 stops in the win.

Charles-Edward Gravel made 21 saves in the loss.
