Recap: Sea Dogs win 3-0

FINAL: Saint John 3, Bathurst 0
Michael Hawkins/Saint John Sea Dogs
BATHURST - Charles-Edward Gravel made 25 saves to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 3-0 road win over the first-place Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Friday.

Florian Schenk, Tyler Peddle and Zachary Morin all scored for Saint John in what was a fairly strong performance away from home. It was also a nice recovery following a messy 8-5 loss in Moncton the night before.

After an uneventful opening period, Schenk got Saint John on the board with his first QMJHL goal at 2:42 of the second. Peddle found the rookie forward alone in front who scored to get the Dogs on the board.

Saint John doubled their lead at 18:18 on a power play. Eriks Mateiko made a perfect cross ice feed to Peddle in the circle who ripped home his team leading sixth of the season, making it 2-0.

The Titan pulled their netminder late in the third period but couldn't get on the board. Morin secured the Saint John victory with an empty net goal at 19:49.

Mathis Langevin made 22 saves in the loss. The loss ends Bathurst's winning streak at five games.
