BATHURST - A four-goal third period pushed the Saint John Sea Dogs to their third straight win on Thursday.

Tyler Peddle and Jacob Beaulieu each scored twice in a 6-3 victory over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at the KC Irving Regional Centre. Elliot Dubé and Nate Tivey also scored while Justin Robinson made 27 saves to earn his first win of the season. Ben Cross added three assists.

Saint John was struggling in the first few minutes but still managed to open the scoring on a Peddle goal. The Dogs led 2-1 after one.

In the second, the Titan scored twice to grab a 3-2 advantage heading into the third. But just 4:09 into the third, Dubé scored to make it 3-3 and then, at 7:17, Beaulieu scored his first of the season to give the Sea Dogs a 4-3 lead – a goal that proved to be the winner.

Tivey and Beaulieu scored later in the period to add to the lead.

Titan goals came from Dawson Sharkey, Colby Huggan and Francois-James Buteau. Joshua Fleming made 27 saves in the win.

The Sea Dogs are now 3-2-0-0 on the season thanks to this winning streak – with all of those wins coming on the road.

SCRATCHES: The Sea Dogs were without goaltender Charles-Edward Gravel (injured or sick); defensemen Benjamin Amyot (injured or sick) and Julien Bonnet (healthy); and forwards Coen Miller (injured or sick), William Yared (injured or sick) and Egan Beveridge (healthy).

CALLED UP: With Charles-Edward Gravel out with an injury, the Sea Dogs recalled 19-year-old Cédric Cyr-Dauphinais from the QJHL's Terrebonne Cobras to be Justin Robinson's backup. Cyr-Dauphinais has never appeared in a game with the Sea Dogs but did play six contests with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in 2022-23.

NOTES: Saint John dressed 11 forwards and seven defensemen... Matteo Mann returned from AHL training camp and made his season debut. He posted an assist and a +2 rating... Tyler Peddle's first goal of the first period came on Saint John's second shot of the game... Peddle now has five goals in three games. He also had seven shots in this game... Jacob Beaulieu scored his first and second goals of the season... Ben Cross, with three helpers, matched his career high for assists in a season in this game... Elliot Dubé had a goal and two assists... things got a bit spicy late in the third period with Cruz Scanzano and Dawson Sharkey both picking up unsportsmanlike conducts... Florian Schenk earned his first career QMJHL point, an assist... announced attendance was 1,171 – but the crowd was definitely smaller than that.
