This past Friday night in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Simon
Despres and the Penguins hosted Mike Thomas and the Springfield Falcons.
It was an eventful night for the two former Saint John
Sea Dogs as Thomas recorded his first career American Hockey League goal and
Despres his first assist in the Falcons’ 7-4 win. Thomas also recorded an
assist, his second of the year.
Thomas’ goal came at the expense of another former Sea Dog
as an Alex Grant turnover setup the play.
