Sea Dogs At AHL Camps Update

BINGHAMTON SENATORS
Former Sea Dog Mike Hoffman had a goal in the Binghamton Senators 5-3 victory over the Hershey Bears on Friday night.

“It took just eight seconds after the ensuing faceoff for Mike Hoffman to stuff a shot past Sabourin, giving the Senators a 2-1 lead,” states the Bears website.

“Hoffman ended the night with four points, as he added a trio of assists to the scorecard,” states the Senators website.

HOUSTON AEROS
The Houston Aeros lost 4-0 to the Oklahoma City Barons last night. They play again this evening in OKC.

SYRACUSE CRUNCH
The Syracuse Crunch won 3-2 in a shootout over the St. John’s Ice Caps last night. Danick Gauthier didn’t score. That’s all we know.

BRIDGEPORT SOUND TIGERS
Brett Gallant was in the lineup again as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers beat the Manchester Monarchs 2-0 on Friday.

“Brett Gallant had his second fight in as many nights, earning a decisive takedown against David Kolomatis at 15:15,” states the Tigers website.

WB/S PENGUINS
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Rochester Americans on Friday. Simon Despres was in the lineup.

“Impressed with Despres' work on the PK thus far,” tweeted @PensInsideScoop. “Nothing fancy. Just solid clears the second the puck touches his stick.”

Alex Grant did not play.

CHICAGO WOLVES
The Chicago Wolves lost 4-2 to the Peoria Rivermen on Friday. Yann Sauve was in the lineup according to the Wolves website

TEXAS STARS/ALLEN AMERICANS
Former Sea Dog Scott Howes has been named to the East Coast Hockey League’s Allen Americans training camp roster. He has been taking part in the AHL’s Texas Stars training camp.

Also on the Americans training camp roster is former Sea Dog Andrew Howes. Howes played 13 games with Saint John in 2008-09, recording two goals and two assists.
