Earlier this week it was revealed that defenceman Marcus Tesink - who had been with the Saint John Sea Dogs all season - was joining the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs. Tesink was joining the team in part because Chiefs defenceman Brendon O'Reilly had left the team to join the Sea Dogs.
On Thursday, former Sea Dogs goaltender Cody Porter announced on social media that he was joining the MHL's Amherst Ramblers. Porter may get some playing time because the Ramblers' regular backup, Joel Goguen, recently signed as an affiliate with Saint John and has been backing up Matt Williams with Alex D'Orio injured.
Porter, 20, appeared in two games with Saint John this season, recording a 1-1 record to go along with a 2.54 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. His one win was a shutout victory over the Charlottetown Islanders.
After being let go by the Sea Dogs, Porter joined the West Kelowna Warriors.
The Sea Dogs recently called up two Ramblers - Goguen and defenceman Thomas Ashe. Amherst's leading scorer and captain is ex-Dog Jordan King.

The roster shuffling is particularly interesting because its happening on different coasts.
