SAINT JOHN
- The Saint John Sea Dogs' offense got its mojo back on Friday.

After struggling to score in a 4-1 loss to the Moncton Wildcats last Saturday, the Sea Dogs put up seven goals in a 7-4 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday night at TD Station.

The Sea Dogs dominated much of the first period, scoring the first three goals of the game and not allowing the Islanders to record a shot on net until past the midway mark of the frame. While Saint John never trailed in this game and the result never really felt in doubt, Charlottetown would not go away.

The Islanders made it 3-2 in the second period and 4-3 in the third. But a Peter Reynolds goal at 5:31 of the third and a Vincent Despont marker later on secured the win.

Along with goals from Reynolds and Despont, Brady Burns scored twice while Cam MacDonald, Jared Cosman and Cole Burbidge also connected. Saint John's top six forwards had a hard time getting things going last weekend, but they found their rhythm in this contest.

Ventsislav Shingarov, in his third straight start, made 33 saves in the win.

Charlottetown had a pair of goals from Michael Horth and solo markers from Giovanni Morneau and Jakub Brabenec. Oliver Satny made 30 saves in the loss.
