SAINT JOHN
- The Saint John Sea Dogs ended a four-game losing streak on Sunday at TD Station, defeating the Cape Breton Eagles 6-5.

Peter Reynolds recorded two goals and two assists to lead Saint John to the win, helping the team earn a couple crucial points in the race for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's final playoff spots. Following Sunday's results, the Sea Dogs are now three points back of the final playoff spot and have a game in-hand on the Val-d'Or Foreurs.

Joseph Ianniello, Nicolas Bilodeau, Noah Reinhart and Alex Drover also scored for Saint John. Ventsislav Shingarov made 28 stops in the win.

Bilodeau gave the Sea Dogs their first lead of the afternoon late in the second period, converting on a power play to make it 3-2. The goal came not long after Sea Dogs forward Nathan Casey had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher following a collision.

Saint John took a 6-3 lead in the third period. Olivier Houde got Cape Breton within a pair at 14:22 and then got the Eagles within one by scoring on a power play with the goaltender pulled at 19:41. That would be as close as Cape Breton would get, though.

Cam Squires, Angelo Fullerton and Jacob Newcombe also scored for the Eagles. Oliver Satny made 35 stops in the loss.
