Recap: Sea Dogs lose 4-3 (OT)

FINAL: Saint John 3, Charlottetown 4 (OT)
Mike Bernard/Charlottetown Islanders
CHARLOTTETOWN - The Saint John Sea Dogs are coming home with a point.

Zachary Morin's third period goal forced overtime but it would be the Charlottetown Islanders taking the extra point. Nathan Leek scored 1:40 into the extra frame to give the Islanders a 4-3 victory on Friday night at Eastlink Centre.

Ross Campbell, Matthew Butler and Jabez Seymour also scored for Charlottetown. Donald Hickey made 25 saves in the win.

Morin, Alexander Donovan and William Yared scored for Saint John. Justin Robinson made 35 loss in the loss.

The loss ended Saint John's three-game winning streak. Still, going into Charlottetown and getting a point from one of the league's top teams – and doing so by tying the game in the third period – shows just how much this year's Sea Dogs team has progressed from last year's.

The Sea Dogs fall to 4-2-1-0 for nine points on the season.
