A total of six Saint John Sea Dogs have been named to the inaugural QMJHL Prospects Game, which is scheduled for later this month in Sherbrooke.

The QMJHL announced the full list of 40 players who will be participating on Thursday. According to a press release, "the prospects were chosen by a special committee formed by the QMJHL Commissioner’s Office and the National Hockey League Central Scouting, since the 40 players selected are obviously eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft."

The Sea Dogs selected to participate:

F Olivers Murnieks
F Zachary Morin
F William Yared
F Dylan Rozzi

D Cameron Chartrand

G Rafaƫl Courchesne

The full roster can be seen here.

According to a league press release, "the rosters of the two teams, which will be called Team Lafleur and Team Crosby, will be announced in the coming days."

The inaugural event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Sherbrooke.

The QMJHL announced the creation of a prospects game last December, originally scheduling it to be held prior to the start of the regular season. That has since changed, obviously, to a November date.

The OHL held a similar event last year. These games replace the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, which has been retired in favour of the CHL USA Prospects Challenge.
