Bishop made 15 saves in the win. The Wildcats are coming off a 6-2 loss to the
Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday. Simon Le Coultre and Derek Dicaire scored for Moncton.

Saint John.

Dogs were 0-1-0-0 against the Wildcats during the pre-season while Moncton went

Last meeting: Aug. 20 in Moncton where
the Wildcats defeated the Sea Dogs 7-3 in a rookie pre-season game. Christophe
Bohemier had a hat trick for Moncton while singles came from Casey Fox, Jacob
Hudson, Derek Dicaire and Samuel Meisenheimer. Saint John goals came from Nick
Fewer, Olivier Mathieu and Alexander Vdovenko. Dominik Tmej made 30 saves in
the win. Matthew Williams made 33 stops in the loss.
Ex-Sea Dogs on the Wildcats: None
Random stat: Matthew Highmore had three
goals and five assists in nine games against Moncton last season.
1. The Sea Dogs are still without three
defencemen – Luke Green, Thomas Chabot and Jakub Zboril – due to NHL camps.
They will also likely be without Chase Stewart, who will presumably receive an
automatic one-game suspension.
2. This will be Moncton’s first road
game of the year after starting the season with back-to-back home games.
3. There are a lot of new faces in the
Wildcats lineup this season. They are projected to finish in the middle to
bottom range of the Maritimes Division standings.
Notes: Matthew Highmore leads Saint John
in scoring with two goals and two assists for four points… Mathieu Joseph has
two goals… Joe Veleno and Daniel Del Paggio each have three assists… Del Paggio
was a healthy scratch last night due to the Sea Dogs having four 20-year-old
players… Liam Murphy leads the Wildcats in scoring with two goals and an assist
for three points… Kevin Klima has three assists.
