The Lakers feature two former Saint John Sea Dogs – forward Charles Savoie and defenseman Matteo Mann, both of whom transfered to Lake Superior State in the off-season.
It's been an impressive start for Savoie, who currently sits in a tie for the CCHA lead in points with 11 and is leading the way in points per game (1.57). The 23-year-old played last season at Lindenwood where he posted nine goals and 18 assists in 23 games.
Mann, who spent last season at Colorado College, has been held scoreless in eight games so far with the Lakers.
Here's a breakdown of how all former Sea Dogs skaters are performing this year in the NCAA.

Forward Olivers Murnieks and defenseman Everett Baldwin spent last season with the Sea Dogs. Murnieks has been dealing with an early season injury. Baldwin has played in five of Providence's six games.
Providence also includes Sea Dogs draft pick J.J. Monteiro, who has yet to appear in a game with the Friars due to a broken foot. The 20-year-old still has a year of junior eligibility remaining after playing in the USHL the past couple years.
The only former Sea Dogs goaltender playing NCAA hockey this year is Charles-Edward Gravel, who has posted a 3-3 record to go along with a 1.87 goals against average and a .944 saves percentage. Gravel spent last season at Mercyhurst University, who eliminated men's hockey.
