Six Saint John Sea Dogs were listed in NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list for the 2027 NHL Draft.

Sea Dogs forwards Alexis Joseph and Jamie Glance were near the top of the list as both were given 'A' ratings, indicating a first-round candidate.

"At 6-foot-4, he uses his reach and strength effectively, but what stands out most is his hockey sense and ability to create scoring chances," Central Scouting associate director David Gregory said of Joseph in a story posted on NHL.com.

Joseph and Glance have spent most of the season playing together on Saint John's top line. Glance leads the team in scoring with 19 points in 14 games while Joseph is second with 14.

Sea Dogs forwards Matyas Cancik and Oliver Ozogany along with defenseman Thomas Charbonneau were all given 'W' ratings, indicating a sixth- or seventh-round candidate. Sea Dogs goaltender Rafaƫl Courchesne, meanwhile, was also given a 'W' rating.

Joseph, Glance, Cancik and Ozogany were all invited to play in this week's QMJHL Prospects Game, which will take place Wednesday night in Gatineau.

53 players from the QMJHL made NHL Central Scouting's preliminary list. Along with Joseph and Glance, Quebec forward Carter Meyer and Halifax defenseman Malik L'Italien were given 'A' ratings.

The 2027 NHL Draft class is expected to be a decent one for the QMJHL after a number of down years.
