
The QMJHL champion Drummondville Voltigeurs are the second team to be eliminated from the 2009 Master Memorial Cup. Windsor defeated the Volts 3-2 in overtime to advance to the Memorial Cup final on Sunday. The Spitfires will try to become the first team in history of the tournament to overcome a 0-2 record and win the holy grail of junior hockey.
Notes: The Windsor Spitfires will play the WHL champion Kelowna Rockets on Sunday (Rogers Sportsnet, 5 PM AST). The Rockets were 2-1 in the round robin and will look to win there second title since 2004.
