The Saint John Sea Dogs are bringing summer development camp back.

The team announced Friday its roster and schedule for the camp, which will run July 4-6 at the qplex in Quispamsis. The list of invites includes 16 forwards, 13 defensemen, and four goaltenders.

Here's a look at the roster.

Goaltenders (4)

Samuel Doyon-Cataquiz* (2023 draft pick)
Jase MacPherson (2025 draft pick)
Sam Pitcher (2025 draft pick)

Players listed with a * were "invited but not available due to other commitments." That list includes nine players: Alex Donovan, Zachary Morin, Dylan Rozzi, Finnegan Sears, William Yared, Everett Baldwin, Julien Bonnet, Oskar Drabczynski and Samuel Doyon-Cataquiz.

Fans will get their first look at 2025 first-rounders Alexis Joseph and Nolann Heroux. Baldwin, Sears and Drabczynski – all Americans – are the only members of Saint John's 2025 draft class not attending.

Another first-round pick to watch is defenseman Cameron Chartrand, who signed with the club back in March. Chartrand was selected by Saint John with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft. A Boston College commit, Chartrand spent last season with the Bishop Kearney Selects.

A couple other notable players currently planning to attend include American defensemen Matas Janulis and Brian MacFadden, both of whom were late picks of the Sea Dogs in the 2024 draft. MacFadden is listed at 6'5" and 181 lbs.

In net, Rafael Courchesne and Jase MacPherson are certainly candidates to earn roster spots. MacPherson was a second-round pick of Saint John in this year's draft while Courchesne was picked in the third-round last year. Sea Dogs head coach and general manager Travis Crickard has previously said the team's goaltending spots are completely up for grabs.

Here's the current schedule for development camp.
At this time, the Sea Dogs are the only QMJHL team holding a summer development camp. They last held one in 2023.

This camp sets the table for what could be an intriguing training camp come August. There are roster spots available – but also roster spots that could seemingly be won over. With so many new faces coming to town – whether they be draft picks, imports or free agents – this season's Sea Dogs are poised to look a lot different than last year's.
