A total of 19 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players
were selected in the 2012 National Hockey League Draft. The Quebec Remparts’

99 Canadian Hockey League players were selected in this
year’s NHL Draft. 48 were from the Ontario Hockey League, 32 from the Western
Hockey League, and 19 from the QMJHL.
The Remparts led the Q with three players picked.
According to the CHL website, “last season, 101 CHL
players were taken in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft including 46 from the OHL, 33
from the WHL, and 22 from the QMJHL.”
Not a huge surprise that no members of the Saint John Sea
Dogs were picked. A few players will likely receive invites to camps this fall,
though.
