The Saint John Sea Dogs have two first round picks in
tomorrow’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft. At the moment, they'll have to wait awhile to pick again.
The Sea Dogs currently have 11 picks for tomorrow’s
draft. They have two first round picks but don’t select again until the fourth
round where they’ll pick twice. After that they won’t pick until the seventh
round. Saint John has five picks in the final four rounds. Of course, this all
could change depending on trades.
At the moment, here is where Saint John is picking
tomorrow.
Round 1 – 8th overall
Round 1 – 11th overall
Round 4 – 70th overall
Round 4 – 73rd overall
Round 7 – 121st overall
Round 9 – 165th overall
Round 10 – 183rd overall
Round 12 – 207th overall
Round 12 – 218th overall
Round 13 – 236th overall
Round 14 – 250th overall
The Dogs do have some assets they could use to try and
move up. Saint John has used the draft very well in the Mike Kelly/Gerard Gallant
era, picking some solid players even in the later rounds.
The QMJHL Entry Draft begins at 11am tomorrow morning. All the results will be posted here. Buckle up.
