For the first time since opening night, Jonathan
Huberdeau found the score sheet for the Florida Panthers. He scored an
insurance marker at 15:29 of a wild third period in the Panthers 6-3 victory
over the Winnipeg Jets.
Huberdeau also had two shots, a +1 rating, and 13:20 of
ice time. He now has a total of two goals and two assists in seven games this
season. Florida improved to 2-5-0 with the win.
In Pittsburgh’s 3-0 win over the New York Rangers last night, Simon Despres helped set up what proved to be the game winner and scored a
goal in the third period. His goal was nice. Real nice.
Despres, who was named third star, also had two shots,
three hits, a +2 rating, and 12:47 of ice time. He took a hooking penalty in
the third period which led to his breakaway goal. The defenseman has a goal and
two assists in five games with the Pens this season.
