HockeyProspect.com released their preliminary rankings of the top 10
prospects for this year’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft today.
Obviously these rankings are based on talent and do not
consider what teams are picking where in the top 10. Cape Breton currently has the first overall selection while Shawinigan will pick second followed by Saint John at No. 3.
16-year old defenseman Noah Hanifin, a Massachusetts native, is the top ranked prospect. The website has St. John’s native Nathan Noel as the top
Atlantic Canadian available.
Check out HockeyProspect.com for more details. The QMJHL
Entry Draft is Saturday, June 8 in Chicoutimi.
