HALIFAX - The final stretch of the Saint John Sea Dogs' 2017-18 season begins tonight.
The Sea Dogs will play their next three and final games of the season over the next few days. The stretch of road games begins this evening in Halifax with a 7 p.m. tilt against the Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads are still in the hunt for a Maritimes Division title, and the Sea Dogs will look to play spoiler tonight.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 14-40-9-2 for 39 points (6th Maritimes, 17th QMJHL) while the Mooseheads are 41-17-6-1 for 89 points (2nd Maritimes, 4th QMJHL).
Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-4 loss to the Moncton Wildcats on Saturday at Harbour Station. Cole Reginato scored twice while singles came from Anthony Boucher and Cedric Pare. Alex D'Orio made 28 saves in the loss. The Mooseheads are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Titan in Bathurst on Saturday. Filip Zadina scored both Halifax goals. Alexis Gravel made 40 saves in the loss.
2017-18 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 2-4-1-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 5-2-0-0 against Saint John.
Last meeting: Feb. 9 in Saint John where the Sea Dogs doubled up the Mooseheads 6-3. Ostap Safin and Robbie Burt each scored twice while singles came from Anthony Boucher and Ben Reid. Otto Somppi, Filip Zadina and Xavier Parent scored for Halifax. Alex D'Orio made 28 saves in the win. Blade Mann-Dixon made 36 stops in the loss.
