Recap: Sea Dogs lose 10-2

FINAL: Saint John 2, Bathurst 10
SAINT-QUENTIN, NB
- It was a rough return to pre-season play for the Saint John Sea Dogs.

Playing in their first exhibition match since Aug. 25, the Sea Dogs fell 10-2 to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Friday in front of a packed house at the Centre Culturel de Saint-Quentin in northern New Brunswick.

Saint John opened the scoring just 58 seconds into the game but that was one of the few bright spots for the team. The team looked sloppy and disorganized at times — especially defensively — and didn't look quite ready to return to action from the Labour Day break.

Noah Reinhart and Jacob Beaulieu scored for Saint John. Justin Robinson played the entire game in net, allowing 10 goals on 41 shots.

The good news: it's a pre-season game and doesn't mean a whole lot. The team returns to action on Sunday in Charlottetown.

Saint John's power play, which has been good in the pre-season, went 0/5... odd rink but there was a good crowd. Attendance was 850.
