Kiefer Lyons has gotten his Maritime Hockey League season off to a strong start.
Lyons, who recently signed with the Saint John Sea Dogs but is starting his 2023-24 season in the MHL, has recorded two goals and five assists in his first two games with the Campbellton Tigers.
Last season, the Quispamsis native recorded 18 goals and 16 assists in just 16 games with the Tigers. He also played with the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats and Charlottetown Islanders last year.
Lyons is one of a few players with Sea Dogs connections playing in the MHL this season. Here are a few players to keep an eye on.

D'Orazio, a Beaconsfield, QC native, playing in Pictou County is an interesting one. A third-round pick of Saint John in the 2020 QMJHL Entry Draft, D'Orazio was believed to have college hockey intentions — and the Maritime Hockey League is typically not a playing location for NCAA-bound players. Like many players with college hockey intentions, D'Orazio has played with the Lac St-Louis Lions, Shattuck-St Mary's, the NAHL and AJHL.
Off the ice, the Grand Falls Rapids have a bench full of notable names. Former Sea Dogs coaches Greg Leland (head coach), Jeff Cowan (assistant coach) and Greg Gilbert (assistant coach) are all listed as part of the Rapids' coaching staff.
