Pre-Season Game Day 4: at Newfoundland

FREDERICTON - For the first time since 2009, the Saint John Sea Dogs will travel to Fredericton's north side for a Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League pre-season game.

The Sea Dogs last played at Willie O'Ree Place on Sept. 2, 2009, falling 6-1 to the Lewiston Maineiacs. To give you a sense of how long ago that was, Kevin Gagne scored Saint John's only goal.

Like that 2009 game, the Sea Dogs will be the road team tonight, taking on the Newfoundland Regiment for the first time. The Regiment are holding the first portion of their training camp and playing their entire pre-season schedule in Fredericton with the Canada Games taking over St. John's.

The Sea Dogs are still looking for their first win of the pre-season. They've fallen twice and produced one tie so far, all against the Moncton Wildcats.

The team formerly known as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, meanwhile, is 3-0, with all their wins coming against the Charlottetown Islanders.

Game time tonight is 7 p.m.
