Sea Dogs Sit Second Again

The Saint John Sea Dogs are still the No. 2 ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League. The latest edition of the BMO CHL MasterCard Top Rankings were released today.

It’s the second straight week Saint John has been ranked second in the nation. They had a 2-1-0-0 week with two wins over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and a loss to the Rimouski Oceanic. All three games were on the road.

Other Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams to make the CHL Top 10 this week were the Victoriaville Tigres at No. 4, Quebec Remparts at No. 7 and the Shawinigan Cataractes at No. 10.The Halifax Mooseheads were an honourable mention again.

The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League’s Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

Here are the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings for week eight.

3. Tri-City Americans (12-5-0-0)
4. Victoriaville Tigres (16-6-0-1)

8. Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors (10-5-1-2)

In this week’s edition of Buzzing The Net’s DynamicDozen, Saint John was ranked fifth.

The Sea Dogs have another busy weekend ahead of them. They travel to PEI to face the Rocket on Friday night before hosting the Mooseheads on Saturday and the Drakkar Sunday.
