Joseph Veleno, the 15-year old forward who
is projected as the top player available for this year’s QMJHL Entry Draft if
made available, will indeed seek exceptional player status, according to reports.

Veleno, born in 2000, will not turn 16
until next January.
In 38 games with the Quebec Midget AAA
Hockey League’s Lac St-Louis Lions this past season, Veleno registered 16 goals and 33 assists.
The Sea Dogs will select first overall in
this year’s QMJHL Entry Draft.
